I have been researching my family tree in earnest since 1997 and have found that the Internet is an excellent means of discovering and exchanging genealogical information. I have therefore tried to make the results of my research readily available to fellow genealogists.
The main surnames I am investigating are Cordery, Kemp, Barrett, Hockley, Jackson and Ray, but please refer to my surname list for full details.
I hold my family history data in "Family Tree Maker" from which I export my tree in GEDCOM format. I suppress details of living individuals using "GEDClean" and finally generate web pages using "GED-GEN".
Each family group appears on a separate page. This following information is shown (where known).
Obviously, there are many areas of my family tree which I have have not yet researched and these are indicated as such in the tables, or by a parent not having a link to their own birth. I have also represented most living relatives as "(Male)" or "(Female)" with details shown as "(Private)" except where I have obtained permission to show the full data.
I have compiled biographies for some of the people in my tree and these are linked to from their personal details. Alternatively, click here to see a list.
I have also designed some diagrams which represent certain aspects of my ancestry.
The best way in to my data is by using the surname list or name index. Alternatively, you may like to use my paternal grandparents' family group as a starting point for finding your way around my family tree.
My particular thanks must go to my parents who have provided invaluable support and help, my cousin Margaret who has compiled much of the information presented about my father's generation and their offspring and my father's second cousin Michael for adding a complete branch to the tree.
